transitive relation

A transitive relation is a homogeneous relation which "carries" the relationships of its comparable elements.

Formally,
a binary relation $R$ over set $S$ is transitive if for all $a,b,c\in S$, when $(a,b)\in R$ and $(b,c)\in R$, then $(a,c)\in R$.
