invertible matrix

An $n\times n$ matrix $A$ is nonsingular or invertible if there is a matrix $B$ such that $AB=BA=I$, where $I$ is the identity matrix.
In such a case, we write $B=A^{-1}$.

A matrix is singular if it does not have an inverse.
