measure space

A measure space consists of a measurable space and a measure.

Formally,
a measure space is a tuple $(S,\mathrm{\Sigma },\mu )$ where

• $S$ is the underlying set
• $\mathrm{\Sigma }$ is a sigma algebra on $S$
• $\mu :\mathrm{\Sigma }\to \mathbb{R}$ is a measure
